Meet Sharbel, a brave 5-year-old boy who recently faced a health scare that shook his family to the core. Sharbel was diagnosed with pneumothorax, a condition requiring urgent hospitalisation and intensive care treatment. For five agonising nights, Sharbel fought for his life in the hospital, while his parents grappled with the overwhelming financial burden.

Sharbel’s parents, relying solely on his father’s monthly income, found themselves drowning in hospital bills totaling over 10 million Syrian Lira. With depleted savings and no additional support, they turned to borrowing from friends and family to settle the mounting expenses, desperately needed for Sharbel’s discharge.

But amidst the darkness, a ray of hope emerged. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, this little boys family received the lifeline they desperately needed. With the burden of debt lifted, they could focus on what truly mattered—their sons recovery and well-being.

Today, Sharbel is back home, surrounded by the love and support of his family. His journey to recovery continues, guided by the warmth of community kindness and the unwavering support of the Hope Charitable Foundation community.
