SYRIA PROJECT #21
HEARING AIDS CHANGED HER LIFE
In the echoes of Aleppo, there resided a soul adorned with wisdom and resilience—an Arabic teacher whose journey through life has been marked by both perseverance and hardship. With over 15 years of teaching experience in Syria, she stood as a beacon of knowledge amidst the chaos of war-torn Aleppo.
For over 15 years, she imparted knowledge as an Arabic teacher, her expertise a guiding light for many. However, war shattered her stability, compelling her to seek refuge in Armenia with her daughter.
Despite her qualifications, no school in Armenia sought an Arabic teacher, leaving her jobless. Desperate, she took a position as a babysitter, concealing her hearing impairment—a hurdle preventing her from securing better employment.
The critical need for hearing aids, priced at $650 USD, loomed as a barrier to her securing sustainable work. Without them, her chances of finding a job that matches her skills remained bleak.
Your donation serves as a crucial lifeline. It aims not only to provide her with hearing aids but also to open doors to employment opportunities that were previously inaccessible due to her hearing loss. It’s a chance to restore her ability to earn a livelihood and provide a better future for her family.
