SYRIA PROJECT #16

A MOTHER DESPERATELY NEEDING TREATMENT
Understandably, being a widowed mother of three children would be hard enough on its own. It would be unimaginably hard with the added pressures of medical impairment and financial hardship. Devastatingly, this is the unfortunate set of circumstances for this mother in Syria. When she gave birth to her third child she contracted Hepatitis C from the hospital due to unsterile equipment, she now needs to take medication for the rest of her life.

The hospital was providing her with medication but in order to continue providing her with the medication they have told her she need further tests, such as blood tests etc and that she needs to fund these tests on her own. Justifiably, given the poverty crisis in Syria and having to provide for her three children she simply cannot afford the costs of the tests required. The tests cost an unattainable 1,000,000.00 Syrian pounds ($633.05 AUD) when she only earns 100,000.00 Syrian Pounds ($63.30 AUD)

She has not had access to her medication in over 6 months as she cannot fund the tests, however she desperately needs her medication. She is struggling.

Thankfully, your kind and generous donations this month have gone to her to help fund her much needed tests.
